"I have an older boat with volvo penta engine, dual carbs. My problem is it has a lot of trouble starting. When I get it into the water it does not want to start at all. I have gotten it to start a few times in the water but I have been stuck on the dock the past few times. I had the engine tuned up and the carbs synced. Also brand new high cranking amp battery and still the same problem. It seems to start easier when its on land. The marine mechanic gets it started on land with no problem each time and I get it started on land occasionally also but just not in the water. Any clue what might cause this problem?
