"Hi, first post and looking for help please.
I require some pistons/rings for this engine due to manifold elbow leak into cylinders (no damage but rings will now not part company with pistons, stuck solid). I have a mechanic on the job that can aquire the parts if he can identify the GM engine rather than take out a second mortgage for penta parts. Does anyone know or can provide link to some data that might help?

"I don't know what VP gets for their pistons but you can buy Sierra piston kits for about $90.00 ea. retail, including rings and wrist pin. Sierra makes good quality stuff and offers a good warranty with it.

You will not find an automotive crossover for this engine, there is none. This is an industrial engine whos' only automotive application is not offered in the US.

It is the same 3.0 used by Mercruiser and OMC so if you have a local dealer he can get these parts for you.
