Help with my Battery problem

This is My 2nd Message 1st one dated 12 Jul 01 09:18 PM.

anyway I have 2 Battery, one run the 70 Hp Evinrude motor,Light/Radio; The 2nd Battery runs the Trolling Motor, 2 fish finder,a Livewell. What i'm looking for is something to recharge the battery while the motor running.

"Doss.... The only thing I can think of right off the top of my head would be for you to run fairly heavy gauge wires (not battery cables) from your regular battery to this #2 battery, but to have a diode inserted in the positive wire that would handle 12 volts and the associated charging amps... having the diode inserted whereas the voltage/amps would flow from the regular battery to the #2 battery. The charging voltage/amps would flow to both batteries when the engine is running.... but due to the diode, there would be no voltage drain from the #2 battery to anything except the trolling motor.
