i have a 351 omc ford with a cracked block i was wondering if you could put a 302 mercrusier in instead of another 351?

" I can only "assume"&

" I can only "assume"(I hate that word) that the 351 is a windsor based block(you didn't say what year motors). If that IS the case a 302(windsor) will bolt in. The deck height is a little lower on the block but you wouldn't probably ever notice it. The external stuff should bolt up but it won't perform as well I wouldn't think. The 302 was(is) a decent motor but in a marine application the 351 makes a bit more torque. You also didn't state what you use the boat for so that may never be an issue. Oh well, I tried..... "

What are you going to do with

What are you going to do with the 351 I am looking for that size of engine. Will you be able to use the exhausts manifolds and what outdrive do you have?

Thanks for any info.
