"I need a running 8.2
I need a good running 8.2. I had a rebuilt motor eat a piston after 1.4 miles and shop tells me tough luck.
I will bolt on all my matine heads, turbo water pump and accessories, so the current application is not critical, it just must be a good runner with life left in it.
I am in New jersey, but can travel for the right motor"

"One of my 8.2 Detroit Marine( in my Sea Ray 87 )in neutral,when the engine is taken to 2000rpm it automatically shoot off to 3500rpm and more.It stop this acceleration when returned to 1000rpm or less .What may be the problem??
I would appreciate help."
