"Hello,
I have a 2 stroke 3.5 hp nissan that was given to me by a friend. Runs well in a garbage can. When I get underway she runs for a few minutes then cuts out, becoming next to impossible to restart. I noticed that the spark plug becomes overly wet. If I dry the plug she starts right up again. Im thinking I may need to rebuild the carb (am I right?)
(and after reading some of the forums here a new impeller wouldnt be a bad idea either.)
In my search for a rebuild kit, I have come across the problem of what engine do I have a 3.5a or a 3.5a2. Well Im not to sure, is there any tell tail signs to figure this out other then the data plate?
