"I'm trying to figure out what year engine i bought
the model number is 507F7C, serial #2009
Can anyone help me with this? The motor has
US Marine on it, I'm pretty sure its a chrysler"

"Jeff, that's a 1987 model, built when Merc actually owned Force.

Chrysler outboard was bought by Bayliner in 84 (if I remember right) and became US Marine and Force.

Bayliner was bought by Brunswick in 86, and Force was given to Merc (which Brunswick owned).

In the earlier years Force were pretty much all Chrylser parts - later they were "half breeds" with some Chrysler and some Merc parts and yet others were mostly discontinued Merc parts.

Your model is most probably all Chrysler..."

"Thank you Graham, This will help me when it comes time to find parts. Hoping that time does not come for a while. The motor runs great and w/ just me gets the boat to 39 mph. I may upgrade to a 70 when this motor craps out. I really appreciate your response. Jeff
