"I have a 1999 BF40 with the butterfly choke. When I purchased this motor (used) it was in need of a bad carb cleaning which I peformed, however there was some corosion in the bowls that I didnt like. Well I picked up a set of new carbs from a newer BF 40 motor, the carbs have a starter inrichment system vs.the standard choke. Am I able to convert?? If so do I just put "ignition on" voltage to inrichment solinoid? I see some additional fittings on the new carbs but they just look like vents, I can research a hose diagram on a newer model for this.
Any input would be helpfull"
