"I'm getting a charging alarm when RPM travels over 3,000. Audible and red light. When this happens, volts as indicated by my electronics spike to 17 volts. Reduce the RPM, volts go down and alarm goes away. I've pulled the alternator and took it to a local shop. It checked out fine. They went ahead and replaced the voltage regulator just in case. Put the alternator back on still the same problem. Any ideas."
