I have been looking at various DFI outboards (in the market for a new engine). Tohatsu is fairly new to Canada and haven't even found a dealer yet to have a good look/talk.

Was wondering how long these models have been around and if anyone has heard good/bad/ugly about them - have they been fairly durable so far? Looking at the 50/70 horse models...

Have seen talked to service guys about Merc's Optimax, own the service manuals and even participated in some tests on an Ev ETEC 60 - so have a good grip on the technology."
