Have a Honda 4 stroke 90 hp and not sure what year but think it is between 1996-1998. Here is the problem.
When I go to start the motor after primeing the bulb it will not start. It sounds like it wants to turn over, but doesn't. Installed a new battery and still nothing. After several attempts (5-7 turns of key) the negative battery wire gets hot, so natural I stop everything. Any idea what the problem may be? I hope not the starter and if it is what is the difficulty in repairing it? I am somewhat mechanically inclined.
